Joshua Smith - Director/Master Painter

Josh commenced his painting apprenticeship in 2010. In the very early stages of his painting career he worked for a number of businesses across the Brisbane region completing projects for many well-known and accomplished builders and clients alike.

This is where he was able to master his skill set to a high standard in all areas of painting and decorating. After completing his apprenticeship he sub-contracted for a short time before realising he wanted more satisfaction in the form of running his own business. This is where our former name of Real Life Painters was established in 2013. Fast forward 9 years we successfully re-branded to Primal Paint Group and have a vast team of painting professionals and apprentices under Joshua's guidance.

After the endless waves of Covid set backs we felt like we were at a cross roads, where we could carry on doing the same jobs for the same client base day in day out or we could wake up and do something new. We went with Primal because we wanted to emphasize on our old school ways the idea of getting back to basics and our primitive instinct for quality. Focusing on what we enjoyed doing once again

our spark was reignited, we've gained a whole new client base, meeting new people and new local business's owners, building relationships and connections every day.
